Some of the comments from previous guests:
“We are being very well looked after by Jimmy and Tracey with some truly fabulous food. We couldn’t ask for any more from them. Your chalet is beautiful and very nicely appointed. We have never been outdone in the most comfortable bed competition, but have to acknowledge we have been beaten this time.
To add to the experience, this is the first chalet in recent memory for us with properly good showers, where cats can be swung as opposed to the usual cubicle or over-bath affairs. Much appreciated.” Paul Hatfield, January 2015
“The genius of the exquisite Penthouse at Haus Alpina is that however it is used it seems to have been conceived for that purpose: during our stay it was venue for drinks parties, dinners, casual fondues in the Stubli and a movie night in the snug.
It has a team who discreetly anticipate one’s every need from the beginning to the end of the day. On one occasion as I headed out I had picked up the wrong skis for our planned route and was quietly handed the correct ones.
On returning, often with aching muscles, the tea time pick me ups followed by the most therapeutic of massage set one up perfectly for the evening – however spent.” Sarah Buscall, London
“The most glamorous and comfortable chalet in Klosters; luxurious, calm & quiet, with excellent service, delicious food, huge living space and the most comfortable beds imaginable. Peaceful, beautiful, safe slopes. Good for skiing for all levels, great nursery slopes plus excellent climbing off piste.” Sam Godsall, Devon
“A truly luxurious experience, everything is taken care of for you from the moment you arrive. The team are incredibly helpful and cheerful and I couldn’t wait to retire to the most sumptuously comfortable bed in the world. An amazing space – the penthouse is bigger than most chalets, yet it still feels wonderfully cosy and warm. We loved the delicious healthy breakfasts every morning – I have taken the bircher muesili recipe home with me and tea beside the fire was a highlight every day.” Camilla Chambers, Newbury
“There is nothing to beat off-piste skiing at Klosters. While there are testing couloirs for the experienced, there are runs that bring you to deserted villages with the most exquisite wooden framed houses and the friendliest of bars. “When I stayed at Haus Alpina last year, I had the best day’s skiing I can remember. Blue skies, perfect snow, varied runs, a patient and attentive guide and fantastic company. I will never forget it.” Haus Alpina has been so cleverly designed that large parties never feel on top of each other. Each room has its own warmth and vibe making every evening feel different from the last.” Edward Buscall, London
“Old fashioned, Swiss charm tastefully blended with every possible modern amenity. After a day’s skiing on the challenging Klosters’ slopes, the irrepressible Jimmy was always waiting to take our skis and chauffeur us back to the log fires of Haus Alpina for a chilled glass of champagne. Bliss!” Will Meadon, Oxfordshire
“Top massage at the end of a great day’s skiing.” Simon Hope, Bucks
“The food was fantastic a great combination of fresh and healthy for those with good intentions, but with lots of naughty treats available too! We particularly loved the mountain night in The Stubli, a delicious fondu by the fire & poached eggs and great raw juices were favourites at breakfast time.” Simon Chambers, Newbury
“Klosters is one of the rare ski resorts that still retains a proper old fashioned charm – is a gorgeous village, rather than a resort.” Meg Meadon, Oxfordshire
“The skiing is magical – such an unspoilt and romantic place to ski for all levels and the run to Kublis through the trees with a Swiss mountain train ride at the end is a wonderful experience.” Mags Hope, Bucks
